Can Older Women Wear Lingerie?

I get asked the same question all the time... Can women in their 50s, 60's or even older wear lingerie? Can they still pull it off? The answer is simple...YES YES YES! Some tend to call us older women, I call us mature and wise women who like what we like and are not deterred by a number stating our birth year.

 I am 54 and I still find lingerie quite appealing. You need not be young to be a provocative woman. Just because I you are a certain age doesn't mean that life is over. 

Lingerie is seductive, sensual and SEXY. Everyone gets older but that does not mean that we have to stop living. We are not over the hill...in fact, some say that we are just starting our climb. Who says that a woman in her later years can't get a bit risque'? Today's women want to enjoy a much longer lifetime and what we wear gives us that added freedom of feeling fabulous regardless of our age. 

Women do not have to be in their 20's, 30's or 40s only to wear lingerie. Sexy lingerie doesn't have a label on it that says 'not for the older women.' Lingerie makes women of all walks of life feel confident. Confidence comes from within and when women (regardless of their ages) are confident it shines through every layer of clothing they are wearing.

Each woman is her own individual person with her own personality. Be flirtatious for heaven sakes! Just because a women is older and likes to wear sexy lingerie does NOT give her the name 'cougar.' Women of all ages wear intimate apparel. It is a proven fact that when you have love and respect for yourself you can take on the world...because you are confident, so why not feel sexy and wear something that makes you feel pretty? 

Truth be told that as we age we become victims of gravity, but if you exercise, eat right and stay healthy you will recognize that at the end of the day, age is merely just a number. I feel better about myself now than I did when I was in my 30s and 40s. Us older gals know how to physically stay in tune with our bodies and just because we are aging gracefully does not mean that we can't still act, feel, and look passionate.

Lingerie is romantic. It speaks volume, so when you select that perfect piece, be certain that it is the right piece for you. When you feel good about what you have on it shows, and it starts with your underthings. Do keep in mind that some pieces look better than others. Not everyone can pull off a romantic teddy but you may look pretty in a babydoll or a chemise. There are many benefits of wearing lingerie and it isn't just for the bedroom. Knowing that you are wearing something sexy underneath your clothes often gives us that extra bounce in our step that makes us feel like a million bucks. Lingerie is not only a powerful tool to have (and I am not just speaking in reference to the bedroom) it is empowering and uplifting. It is about feeling good about who you are and being comfy in your own skin. Just because you are in your 50's or 60's does not mean that you cannot pull out all the stops in something erotic or exotic. It means that you are mature and in tune with your body so girlfriend strut your stuff and find some sexy pieces that will make you shine!

 Don't be shy...it's time to go where you haven't gone in a while. Sexy doesn't come with an age limit attached...Sexy is women of all ages and all sizes! I say bring out that foxy mama that's been hiding...don't let age dictate your way of life. 

Classy is a woman of age who knows how to turn the head of a man, or woman. Charming is the woman who selects the perfect pieces that accentuates her curves, showing off her torso and it is the impressive is the woman who says "So what if I am 50+?"
